Netflix’s Single’s Inferno 5 is already generating plenty of conversation, but one name is rising especially fast: Kim Go-eun. From her very first entrance in the episodes released on January 20, she stood out with a strong on-screen presence and a refreshingly direct way of describing herself.
Kim introduced her vibe as “cat-like visuals, dog-like personality,” explaining that while she may come across as cool or distant at first glance, she’s actually warm, playful, and full of charm once people get to know her.
She was equally candid about her looks, telling the cast she doesn’t have a feature she dislikes—then adding that her favorite is her nose, a confident line that immediately turned heads.

When it comes to romance, Kim was open about what she wants from the show. She shared that she hasn’t really had long breaks between relationships in the past, and that the current “gap” feels unfamiliar. Her goal on Single’s Inferno is simple: meet someone who genuinely clicks and move forward from there.
Off-screen, viewers are also digging into her background. Kim is widely reported to be the daughter of former national team footballer Kim Hyun-soo, and she previously earned the “Mi (美)” title at the 2022 Miss Korea competition, adding to the curiosity around her.
As her popularity grows, older headlines are resurfacing too—especially the past dating rumor involving G-Dragon. In 2024, she was linked to the singer after photos and sightings fueled speculation that the two had attended a PSG match in Osaka together in July 2023 and posted images from similar locations. At the time, G-Dragon’s side denied the rumor, stating she was a close junior acquaintance with mutual friends.
For now, Single’s Inferno 5 continues to lean into bolder emotional expression and more talked-about chemistry than previous seasons, and with episodes 1–4 currently available on Netflix, Kim Go-eun’s storyline is quickly becoming one of the main reasons viewers are tuning in.
